Boehner Rips Tea Party, Pelosi Says 'Embrace the Suck,' Senate GOP May Filibuster

As the House passed the Ryan-Murray budget deal, Speaker John Boehner took the opportunity to rip tea party-affiliated conservative groups, reports the Washington Post. Regarding conservative groups who opposed the budget deal, Boehner said, "Frankly, I think they're misleading their followers…And frankly, I just think that they've lost all credibility." Boehner admitted he'd felt that way for a long time. Politico reports that Nancy Pelosi told Democrats with reservations over the deal that they'd just have to "embrace the suck." Meanwhile, The Hill reports there's likely to be a procedural filibuster from Republicans in the Senate – and at least five Republicans will have to vote yes for the bill to pass.

Let's hope enough Republicans have the common sense to vote against the bill.
