Veterans Remove Barricades From Memorials and Bring Them to WH

(Daily Caller) - Hundreds of veteransicon1 Veterans Remove Barricades From Memorials and Bring Them to WH descended on Washington, D.C. on Sunday under overcast skies and light rain to protest the closure of the war memorials during the government shutdown — and tore down the barricades surrounding the memorials to sounds of horns from truckers and cars and the roar of motorcycle engines.
They were joined by Texas Republican Sen. Ted Cruz, Utah Republican Sen. Mike Lee and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, who urged the Democratically-controlled Senate and President Barack Obamaicon1 Veterans Remove Barricades From Memorials and Bring Them to WH to remove the barricades and end the partial government shutdown.
Police blocked the roads, leading to tense stand-offs as the protesters swarmed on to the road surrounding police cars, chanting “Move these cars!” They then began marching on the White Houseicon1 Veterans Remove Barricades From Memorials and Bring Them to WH to continue their protest, carrying uprooted barricades along with them to toss in front of the White House.
